Masquefa is a municipality in the province of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, located in the Anoia region. The gastronomy of the area is very varied, and is characterised by the use of fresh, quality ingredients.
Among the typical dishes of Masquefa are "coca de vidre", a kind of very crunchy sweet cake, and "escalivada", a salad of roasted vegetables with olive oil. Also well known are the charcoal-grilled sausages and meats, such as "botifarra" and "xurrasco".
As for the wines, in the region you can find wines from the Penedés Denomination of Origin, which are well known for their quality and flavour.
As for nature-related activities, Masquefa has several hiking routes that allow you to discover the natural landscapes of the area, such as the Route of the Hermitages or the Route of the Mills of the Riera de Rajadell.
